Hey, I’m Laura!

A young woman standing outdoors on a dirt path in a landscape with patches of snow, wearing a black jacket, green top, and jeans, smiling at the camera with cloudy skies overhead.

Painting and doodling my way through life’s journey.

Work with Me

A Brief Story

Looking back, I believe my art journey began as a small blonde mischievous girl with a blue crayon. To me then, the sides of white dressers, desks, and anything else a crayon could stay on, was my space for a special kind of mural. What followed was upset parents and blue scribbles that stayed on that furniture and while closet walls for years. Now a moment to laugh at, is what could be considered my first (and bold) artistic expression.

Recent Times

I now live and work in Minnesota, a six-hour drive from home, in a place filled with cozy, unique coffee shops, ice fishing, and endless wild spaces to explore. I’m currently a geotechnical engineer with a fondness for creating. I paint when I feel inspired and for the people I love—and I’d love to paint, doodle, or draw for you too.

Garage Mural

An end-of-year high school COVID project for my advanced art class, this garage-door mural marked my first large-scale public work. I’d love to create more murals like this in community and city spaces.

FAQ

A dreamy artistic painting of a yellow mug filled with coffee, placed on a wooden table near a window, with a trailing green vine with heart-shaped leaves on the left side, and a blue sky with swirling wind patterns visible through the window.
